If you are staying in one of the Dartmouth holiday cottages and you fancy getting involved in a deserving charity event in Brixham then this weekend holds just the thing.
The event, focused around a beer festival, meaning you can sample some delicious Ales, is being hosted by the Queen’s Arms in Station Hill from noon to midnight this Friday, December 6, and Saturday 7 December, as well as noon until 11pm on Sunday, December 8.
The charity event is raising money for Papworth Respiratory Support and Sleep Centre as well as Brixham’s Shoalstone Pool.
Lots of entertainment will be on hand and there will be a tasty winter barbeque for you to tuck in to if you start to get a bit peckish.
Landlord Chris Simmonds said: “The beer festival is to celebrate our second year here, where we have gained various awards including being the only pub in Brixham in the Good Beer Guide and one of the runners-up in the Herald Express Pub of the Year.
“We will have a fully judged beer festival with over 20 ales plus ciders and a judging panel of our locals. The judges won’t know which beers they are judging so there is no cheating.
“This will take place on Thursday, December 5, with the overall winner being announced in the evening to special guests from most of the breweries taking part in the festival.”
