Electricity
|
|
The electricity is metered and is read just before you arrive
and just before you leave, charging is at local supply rates. Three and four bedroom cottages have an energy monitoring
display which enables guests to monitor their usage.
Electricity is used for heating the cottages due to the lack of availability of Gas or
Oil as a heating source. A combination of night storage heating and limited duration
use of convection heating is more than adequate to create a
very warm temperature within the cottage even when the
weather is below freezing outside.
It is difficult to estimate the total amount of electricity
guests will use during their stay due to the effects of external temperature, individual preference
and use of appliances, but the table below shows typical usage
by guests over the last year.

You will be given the bill at about 9am on the day you leave or earlier
if you request. We accept cash, cheques and most credit cards (not American Express and Diners Card).
If you are intending to leave early or on a different day than booked pleased let us know in good time
so that we can arrange for a mutually convenient time to read the meter
