Higher Bowden has a wide range of on-site leisure facilities to entertain you during your holiday. These include:

• Pool complex, open from 9:0am to 7:30pm: The pool complex is closed at 7:30pm in order that a)it can be cleaned and maintained and b)as a safety issue as the facility is unattended.
The complex consists of:
• Large (approx. 30' x 20') indoor swimming pool, chlorine free (uses "Active Oxygen"), heated to 29C with changing rooms and showers
• Spa bath - heated to 38C
• Sauna - open from 3:30pm
• Small gymnasium with multigym, treadmill, cycle and power stepper - for over 16's only.
• Floodlit tennis court with all weather artificial grass.
• Full-size snooker table.
• Games Room with 2 Microsoft XBOX 360s (one with a 55" LCD screen), table tennis, pool, table football.
• Large Under 5´s Playroom with a wide selection of toys.
• Two children´s playgrounds with swings, play house etc.
• Trampoline suitable for all the family up to 16 stones maximum weight.
• 9 hole putting green.
• Nature Trail.

The grounds have been well landscaped and abound with interesting flowering shrubs and some surprising wildlife You will find a beech walk through centennial trees as well as easy strolls through the shrubbery with seats to enjoy the peaceful views. There is a small stream running through the grounds creating a very pretty pond, which is overlooked by the master bedrooms in Garden and Waterfall cottages (any areas of deep water are securely fenced for safety reasons).
